Ahoy, Lassies!
Ecoscene takes a closer look at Kiss My Face Kids Bubble Wash
11/4/2009 - Jaq Nigg
Bath time at our house has to be about play or else there would be mutiny. The actual time spent on hair washing and behind ear cleaning is kept to a minimum to keep the focus where it belongs – splashing, foam letters, and rubber duckies. Testing the Kiss My Face’s Kids Bubble Wash gave 4-year old Emmit and his 17-month sister Jasper extra time in the bubble-filled bath. They were up for the challenge to see how this product would work for us.

Treasure Map (+)- Contains Aloe Vera, green tea extract and natural essential oil blends leaving Emmit's and Jasper’s skin so soft that we didn’t need to apply additional lotion.
- Lathers well when used directly on the body in the shower.
- Great scent both coming out of the bottle and later on clean pajama’d toddlers.
- Contains natural ingredients, no artificial colors or fragrances, or unnecessary chemicals.
- Receives a low hazard score (2 out of 10) on the Environmental Working Group's cosmetic safety database.
- No animal testing or animal ingredients.
- The product bottle is recyclable and the product is 100% biodegradable.
A Fool's Errand (-)- Bubbles don’t last quite as long as I’d like.
- Bubbles aren’t as stiff as other brands, making bubble beards and hair harder to create.
The Bottom Line
All in all, a fantastic product that smells lovely, reduces our after bath struggles and offers piece of mind. I was most impressed with how soft Emmit's and Jasper’s skin was after their bath. They both have sensitive skin that becomes overly dry easily. It was nice to not have to worry about the ritual after bath chase, tackle and moisturize. The $9.95 price tag that at first felt too splurgy now feels like a bargain. We’ve already purchased more Kiss My Face Bubble Wash. The product is available on the Kiss My Face website and Amazon.
