New Year, New Plan
A recycled planner keeps resolutions in check
1/7/2010 - Ecoscene Staff
It's no secret that life is busy. Between work, social events, family gatherings, and running errands, there's rarely time to just relax and plan for the next week's activities. If you're not into smart phones or if you vow to never make an important list on the back of a receipt again, then an eco friendly planner from Sarah Pinto might just be the tool to get you organized once and for all.

Keeping it Together (+)- The cover and all the pages are made with 100% post consumer recycled paper and soy based inks.
- The products are made in San Francisco, CA.
- The whole planner can be recycled at the end of the year.
- The cover is durable, keeping all the pages protected as I carry it from place to place.
- Available in five different styles, all are fun and colorful designs.
- There are various ways to view your calendar: it opens with a three year snapshot, continues with monthly views, and closes with detailed weekly views.
- Its compact shape (5x7) fits perfectly in my purse or work bag and there is still plenty of room for notes on all of the pages.
- There are also additional note pages in the front and back of the planner for list making or scratch paper.
- The spiral binding makes it easy to write on all pages.
Losing My Mind (-)- All three calendar views have a Monday first layout; I personally like when calendars are set up like a standard week (Sunday first).
- The planner did come wrapped in plastic creating excess waste.
The Bottom Line
Sarah Pinto's recycled panners are great, stylish notebooks for helping you stay organized. They are a great size to throw into a work bag or purse, making sure you never leave home without it. The planners are available for $25 on the Sarah Pinto website or on Amazon.
