Your dog deserves the best, right? So when everyone is gathered around the table for the holidays and those puppy dog eyes look up at you for a treat, why not be prepared with something made just for him? Petit Four Legs has created Gingerbread Men dog treats that are perfect for just this occasion. Will our Ecoscene testers be able to tell the difference?
   
I'll Have Seconds (+)- The gingerbread men dog treats are handmade from all natural, human-grade ingredients. The company's kitchen meets USDA requirements.
- All of the ingredients are also locally sourced, coming from businesses in the Pacific Northwest.
- The treats smell delicious! Just like real gingerbread men coming out of the oven.
- They have a cute gingerbread man shape and are easy to break up.
- Boris (Bichon/Poodle mix) loved the taste.
- The packaging is quite impressive - the outer box is PET recyclable, the inner bag is compostable, and the label is made from Fiberstone, a tree-free alternative.
- The company has a clear commitment to sustainability. Most interesting is their commercial kitchen composting program where they have commited to composting 100% of their kitchen and office waste.
No Thank You (-)- Natasha (Silky Terrior) can be picky and she didn't like them, so they are not universally appealing. She ate the treats at first but now she refuses them, preferring others instead.
The Bottom Line
We are undoubtably impressed with this company's commitment to the environment. For a small company, they have really thought through the impact of their product on the environment and how to keep it at a minimum. These are a great holiday gift for your furry friend, unless said furry friend is a fickle eater. The gingerbread men treats are available for $9.99 (8 oz) on the Petit Four Legs website.
